Go to townsendpress.net to complete vocabulary tests for chapters 1-3. When you are done, complete the activities for chapter four. After you are done, go to the round tables to get your packet for chapter four vocabulary. Your quiz is next week. You can make vocabulary cards. You will also have a test on the first four chapters.
After the packet, you may pick up one of the UPFRONT magazines. We will go over these articles next week.
Have a good weekend! Love you guys!
Step 1: Learn the COMPRead strategy! Follow the directions your tutor gave you on how to use the COMPRead strategy on a PDF.
Step 2: Practice, Practice, Practice! Save the PDF onto your computer or flash drive and then practice the strategy. Save what you've done and email it to me so you can get feedback.
Step 3: Get Feedback! Listen carefully to what your tutor tells you so you can get the answers right. Think about what you need to improve upon and do your best to change.
Step 4: Ask Questions! More importantly, get answers. If you don't understand, keep asking questions until you understand what is causing you to get the answers wrong. Take your time! Don't just move on without understanding, and don't guess unless you're out of time.
Ready? Let's Get Started:
1. Download and save the pdf. Make comments and highlight important information. Use your understanding of the passage to answer the questions. Do your best and don't be scared to ask questions if you don't understand. This is time to help you!
2. After you answer all the questions and have reasons for your answer, save the file and email it to me at: sfye@somersetvirtualacademy.com. Tell your tutor you are done and get feedback!
